Autumn in Fortuny Palace
This season foretells an intense program full up with shows and events at the Fortuny Palace.
Some daily used objects that have been photographed from Franco Vimercati (Milan 1940-2001) distinguish from the others thanks to their purity and their particular magic, as if they were gifted with their own soul. Precious shapes and geometries tell the story of Annamaria Zanella. Memories, emotions, thoughts and an extraordinary technical ability become alive thanks to the “democratic” use of materials such as iron, copper, steel, glass, wood, porcelain and cement. In this way Annamaria Zanella, refined and original, exceeds the usual goldsmith’s art techniques and presents a brand new product at the Palace, full of colours, soft and bright as the silk.
Maurizio Donzelli’s Metamorphosis highlight the suggestion of Venice which is the door to the East, a place of exchanges, of meetings, od techniques and manual skills. At the Fortuny Palace you will find on view the iridescent designs Mirrors, watercolours, collage, installations, Nepal carpets and fabrics and Jacquard tapestries made in Flanders. In the work of the Swiss photographer Béatrice Helg, the light is the main character and without it, this work of art wouldn’t exist. This is her first museum exposure in Italy; she shows Risonanze, which includes 22 colour pictures, made exclusively for the Palace, where sculpture, painting, scenography and the contrast between light and shadow perfectly collide and create suggestions and visions of still meditation.
