For the first time at the Grassi Palace you can visit an exposure entirely dedicated to the images in motion: 27 artists are coming from all over the world, from China till Venezuela, in order to present installations, projections, sound effects and silent zones, in a sensory dynamic path that floats in between gravity, agony, humour and lightness. This exposure wants to highlight the particular link between Venice and cinema to coincide with the Venice International Film Festival. The curator, Caroline Bourgeois, has selected works of art from the 70’s till the most recent acquisitions, such as For Beginners from Bruce Nauman and the work of Bill Viola, the image in motion’s pioneer.
